You carry His message, not your own.
Good morning. Today’s verse is 2 Corinthians 5:20: “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”
Dear brothers and sisters, Paul gives us a title that shows who we are and what we are called to do:
We are ambassadors for Christ.
An ambassador represents a government or leader in a foreign land.
They do not express their own opinions.
They do not craft their own message.
They carry the message of the one who sent them.
As believers in the gospel of grace and members of the Body of Christ, we have been entrusted with one message:
“Be reconciled to God through faith in the gospel of grace.”
Not by works.
Not by law.
Not by religious effort.
Not by human merit.
But by believing the good news that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.
This is the message God Himself is sharing through us with a world that is spiritually lost and far from Him. We do not negotiate peace; we announce it. We do not offer ourselves; we offer Christ. We do not point people to their own efforts; we point them to His finished work.
And this calling is not reserved for pastors, teachers, or missionaries.
It belongs to every member of the Body of Christ.
Wherever you go today, whether it’s your home, your workplace, or your community, you go as an ambassador. You represent the risen, living Savior. You carry the message of reconciliation. You stand in this world as a reminder that God is still offering grace.
So today, walk with purpose.
Walk with clarity.
Walk with confidence in who you are.
You are an ambassador for Christ.
Carry His message with grace and truth.
Meditation:
Father, thank You for entrusting me with the message of reconciliation. Help me speak with grace, live with integrity, and represent Christ and the gospel of grace faithfully wherever You place me today.
Reflection Question:
Where has God placed you today, where you can live as an ambassador for Christ?
