Two Audiences. One Christ. Perfect Order.
Good morning. Today’s Bible verse is Matthew 9:35: “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”
Before we step into Day 6, I want to pause and prepare our hearts for the next part of this journey.
Phase 1 reminded us who we are in Christ — accepted, secure, forgiven, and loved.
Phase 2 now asks a different question:
Who was Jesus sent to?
And who was Paul sent to?
This is not a question of worth or value.
It is a question of audience — and Scripture answers it clearly.
Jesus Himself said He was sent “to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 15:24).
He instructed the Twelve to “go nowhere among the Gentiles” (Matthew 10:5–7).
Paul later wrote that he was sent as “the apostle of the Gentiles” (Romans 11:13).
And he explained that Christ became “a minister of the circumcision” (Romans 15:8).
These passages are not in conflict.
They are part of God’s unfolding plan.
Phase 2 gently reveals this distinction — not to divide believers, but to bring clarity and rest.
Not to confront, but to free.
Not to diminish Jesus’ earthly ministry, but to understand it in its covenantal context.
Understanding who Jesus was sent to, and who Paul was sent to, helps us read Scripture without confusion and live our Christian lives without fear or striving.
This is not about dividing Christ.
It is about seeing His work clearly.

Meditation: As we move into Day 6, my prayer is simple:
Lord, give us eyes to see Your order,
hearts to receive Your grace,
and courage to rest in the gospel You have given us.
