True security is found only in the Lord.

Good morning. Today’s Bible verse is Psalm 64:10: “The righteous man will be glad in the LORD and will take refuge in Him; And all the upright in heart will glory.”

Humanity longs for safety and security.
In a world marked by sin, people search for it in money, possessions, influence, or even relationships. But none of these can truly satisfy. Wealth can vanish. Power shifts. Friendships fracture.

The psalmist understood this reality and declared that the righteous find their refuge in the Lord. Those who trust in Him rejoice because their safety is not rooted in this world, but in His steadfast love. God’s goodness steadies the believer’s heart, and that joy overflows among His people.

True security comes by faith — the kind of faith the psalmist writes about. It is the faith that rests in the God of all comfort, the sovereign God of the universe, who knows the beginning and the end of all things. It is the faith of the one who says, “I have no hope but in God,” and knows the safety that only He can give.

Dear brothers and sisters, we who have believed God’s promise of salvation by faith in the gospel of grace possess this safety. Yes, we face trials and pressures, but we are watched over by the sovereign God, saved by the blood of His Son, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Nothing can separate us from His love.

Those who trust in possessions or human relationships will find no lasting peace. But those who trust in the Lord know a security that cannot be shaken.

Meditation:
Lord, anchor my heart in the safety and security that come only from You. Help me rest in Your promises rather than the fragile securities of this world.

Reflection Question:
Where are you seeking security apart from Christ, and how is He calling you to trust Him instead?
