Led by the Spirit — not driven by the Law.
Good morning. Today’s verses are Romans 8:14–15: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’”
Walking in the Spirit (Day 16) naturally leads to this truth:
The Spirit doesn’t just empower us — He leads us.
The flesh pushes.
The Spirit leads.
The Law demands.
The Spirit guides.
The old nature insists on its own way.
The Spirit invites us into God’s way.
Being “led by the Spirit” is not mystical or emotional. It is the daily, steady, quiet work of the Spirit directing our steps through the Word of God — especially through Paul’s epistles, which reveal God’s instructions for life in this present age of grace. He reminds us of who we are in Christ, members of His Body, and strengthens us to choose what honors Him.
He leads us away from sin.
He leads us toward righteousness.
He leads us into truth.
He leads us into rest.
He leads us into Christlikeness.
And He does this not by force, not by fear, but by grace.
Dear brothers and sisters, you are not left to navigate this life alone. If you have believed the gospel of grace, the Spirit of God dwells in you, guides you, and leads you. He will never lead you back into fear, bondage, or law keeping. He leads you into the freedom of who you are in Christ.
Follow His leading today — trusting His voice above the noise of the world, the temptation of the flesh, and the fear and condemnation of the devil.

Meditation:
Holy Spirit, lead me today. Help me listen, trust, and follow Your gentle guidance.
Reflection Questions:
Are you living in bondage to the old nature? Are you living in fear of not doing enough? Are you striving to please God according to the demands of the Law — or are you being led by the Spirit?
