We shall all be changed.
Good morning. Today’s Bible verses are 1 Corinthians 15:51-52: “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Today, Paul reveals a mystery:
a truth hidden in God until it was given to him
for the Body of Christ.
Not all of us will die.
But all of us will be changed.
In a moment.
In the twinkling of an eye.
At the sound of the trumpet.
This world is not our home.
We are sojourners in a fallen creation.
walking through chaos, corruption, and decay.
Our bodies grow weary.
Our strength fades.
Our hearts bear the weight of this present age.
Even so, we do not lose hope.
Because Christ was raised,
we who have believed the gospel of grace
will also be raised.
Likewise, if we are alive at His appearing,
we will be changed instantly—transformed
into glorified bodies fit for eternity with Him.
This is our confidence.
This is our expectation and hope.
This is the culmination of the mystery
revealed to Paul for the Body of Christ.
Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, lift your eyes.
We are passing through this temporal world,
awaiting the moment
when the trumpet sounds
and the dead are raised incorruptible
and we are changed forever.
Hold fast to this hope.
The day is coming.
and it may be nearer than we think.

Meditation:
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
everything will change.
Reflection Question:
How does the promise of instant transformation
steady your heart in the pressures of this present age?
