The Lord is never early. He is never late. He is always on time.
Good morning. Today’s Bible verse is Psalm 37:39:
“But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.”
Time is relative.
If you plan to be somewhere, call someone,
or do something at a specific time,
you are often a little early or a little late —
depending on whose clock you’re using.
You say, “I’ll call at 1:00 PM.”
But your 1:00 PM might be 12:50 on someone else’s clock.
We act in approximate time.
But the God of the universe exists in an eternal now.
A thousand years is as a day to Him.
Nothing escapes His view.
And yet — He knows you at this very moment.
The Lord is never late.
He is never early.
He is always on time.
His salvation, His comfort, His strength
arrive at His appointed moment for the distraught believer.
In the moment of greatest distress,
He is with the one who lives by faith,
and He gives exactly what is needed when it is needed.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Our minds may be confused.
Our hearts may feel numb.
But our faith in the Lord remains strong.
No matter how unsettled the world becomes,
and no matter how heavy the pressure feels,
let our faith rest in the Lord
who knows the need
before it comes and provides in His perfect time.
The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Ps 37:39.
Meditation:
Lord, during times of distress, calm my heart as I await Your perfect timing. Help me to rest in the truth of Your faithfulness.
Reflection Question:
Where do you need to trust that God’s timing is perfect and His strength will meet you right when you need it?
