Good morning. Today’s Bible verses are Ephesians 1:22, 23: “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”

Take a moment to read Ephesians 1:15-23. As members of the Body of Christ, Paul encourages us to keep our focus on Jesus Christ to avoid becoming distracted by the chaos of daily life. In his writings, he often reminds us of the true nature of the resurrected and exalted Christ and His ministry as the Head of the Body during this age of grace. Ephesians 1:22, 23 is one of those passages. Paul explains to us that God has placed all things under Christ’s feet. Every power, every authority, and every unseen force is already beneath Him. Christ is not waiting to be exalted; He is already exalted.

Furthermore, Paul details that God gave Christ to the church as its Head. Christ, who is above all things, leads, nourishes, and fills His Body. He is not a distant ruler but the living Head who is present, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, with the Body of Believers. The Body is the fullness of Christ and serves as His complement—not because Christ is lacking, but because it is through the Body that Christ expresses His life. The fullness flows from the Head to the Body, and the Body expresses the Head's attitudes and actions in this age.

Reflection: We who believe are part of Christ’s Body, and He fills us with His life.
