Scripture anchors the believer in Christ’s revealed truth.

Good morning. Today’s Bible verses are 2 Timothy 3:16-17: “ All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

If yesterday’s devotional showed us the drift, today’s shows us the anchor.

Sound instruction is not found in cultural trends, religious movements, or personal interpretations. It is found in the Scriptures — the God‑breathed Word that reveals who God is, why the universe exists, and where our eternal hope rests.

And while all Scripture is inspired and profitable, we must also recognize that the risen Christ gave the Apostle Paul a unique body of truth for this present dispensation of grace.

These truths are not mystical sayings, spiritual incantations, or human traditions. They are divine revelations once hidden in God, now made known through Paul for the instruction, stability, and assurance of the Body of Christ.

What Is a “Mystery” in Scripture?

A mystery is a divine secret graciously kept by God until the time He chose to reveal it.

It was not a hidden truth waiting for men to discover in earlier Scripture, but a sacred truth once kept secret from past ages and now revealed through the Apostle Paul for the strengthening of the Body of Christ (Romans 16:25–26; Ephesians 3:3–5).

Key Mysteries Revealed Through Paul

Paul unfolds several truths that had been hidden in God until the appointed time. Together, these mysteries shape the believer's understanding of salvation, identity, hope, and the walk of grace.

-The Mystery of the Body of Christ — Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:25–27).

-The Mystery of Christ — Gentiles are fellow heirs, of the same Body, and partakers of God’s promise in Christ (Ephesians 3:1–6).The Mystery of His Will — God will gather together all things in Christ, both in heaven and on earth (Ephesians 1:9–10).

-The Mystery of God — believers brought into assurance and understanding through the knowledge of God the Father and Christ (Colossians 2:1–2).

-The Mystery of Godliness — Christ manifested, vindicated, preached, believed on, and received up in glory (1 Timothy 3:16).

-The Mystery of Israel’s Blinding — Israel’s blindness is partial and temporary until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in (Romans 11:25).

-The Mystery of the Rapture — not all will sleep, but all will be changed when the Lord gathers His own (1 Corinthians 15:51–52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14).

-The Mystery of Iniquity — lawlessness already at work, though restrained until God’s appointed time (2 Thessalonians 2:7–8).

Dear brothers and sisters, as members of the Body of Christ, let us be mindful of the truth that through Paul, the risen Christ has revealed the doctrine we need for salvation, identity, sanctification, and our walk in this present age of grace:

·       the gospel of grace
·       the believer’s union with Christ
·       the indwelling Spirit
·       the heavenly calling of the Body
·       the walk of grace
·       the blessed hope

Meditate on these truths; they will steady you in a world that often rejects truth.

Let these truths saturate your mind and spirit so that you will know who you are, why you exist, and how you are called to live. These are foundational doctrines Christ gave for this age of grace.
