Your position is not earned by your walk.
Your walk flows from your position.
You are seated with Christ now and forever.
Good morning. Today’s Bible verses are Ephesians 2:4–6: “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…”
Before we dive into today’s passage, remember this: He is risen. Because Jesus Christ lives, your identity in Him is secure. A dead teacher can inspire, but only a risen Savior can make you alive and elevate you to heavenly places. That is what God has done for you in Christ Jesus.
Dear brothers and sisters, stop and meditate on these words.
Do not rush past them.
Let these words of today’s verses sink deeply into your heart.
We all deserved eternal judgment.
We were born sinners, inheriting Adam’s fallen nature.
We lived in rebellion, spiritually dead, without hope and without God.
“But God.”
Those two words change everything.
God, who is rich in mercy.
God, who loves with a great love.
God, who moved toward us when we could not move toward Him.
He made us alive together with Christ.
He raised us up together with Christ.
And — astonishingly — He seated us together with Christ in the heavenly places.
This is not a future promise.
This is a present reality.
Your position is settled before your walk begins.
You are not striving to reach heaven.
You are not climbing toward acceptance.
You are not earning a seat at God’s table.
You already have one — in Christ.
Your life on earth may feel unstable, uncertain, or unfinished, but your position in heaven is fixed, secure, and complete. You are seated with Christ because Christ is seated, and you are in Him.
Beloved, learn this truth.
You are alive with Christ.
You are raised with Christ.
You are seated with Christ.
Not by effort.
Not by merit.
Not by works.
By grace.

Meditation:
Lord, thank You that my position in Christ is secure. Teach me to live from the place where You have seated me — not striving for acceptance but resting in the grace that placed me in Christ.
Reflection Question:
How does knowing you are already seated with Christ reshape the way you face today’s challenges?
