Paul now shifts his focus from inner qualities to outward expressions of love
within the Body of Christ.

Good morning. Today’s Bible verse is Romans 12:13:
“distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.”

“Distributing to the needs of the saints”
is not about tithing under the Law.
Believers in this age of grace
are not under that obligation.
But we are called
to meet the needs
of fellow members of Christ’s Body
with willingness,
with sincerity,
and with love.

This generosity is not limited
to financial help.
It includes time,
prayer,
encouragement,
and practical assistance.
If a member of the Body is in need,
we move toward them—
even when the relationship is strained,
even when personalities clash,
even when affection is difficult.

“Given to hospitality”
means more than opening our homes.
It means opening our hearts.
It means welcoming,
serving,
and caring for others
because we belong to Christ
and they belong to Him as well.

Dear brothers and sisters,
hospitality is not agreement.
Generosity is not approval.
Love is not liking.
We may not enjoy every personality,
but we love every believer
because Christ loves them.

We give
because we have been given much.
We serve
because we have been served by Christ.
We show hospitality
because God welcomed us
when we were strangers
to His grace.

This is the life
of the Body of Christ—
a community identified by open hands,
open hearts,
and open doors.

Meditation:
Because of what we have been given in Christ, may we manifest generosity, and may our hands be ready to serve. Holy Spirit, teach us to meet the needs of fellow believers with sincerity and love. Shape in us a spirit of hospitality that reflects the welcome we have received in Christ. Amen.

Reflection Question:
Where is God inviting you to show generosity or hospitality to a fellow believer—especially one who may be difficult to love?
