Saved from wrath. Kept by grace. Awaiting glory.
Good morning. Take a moment and reread these verses - 1 Thessalonians 1:10; Romans 5:9; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52
As we finish this series, let’s take a moment to remember the grace that has carried us, the hope that has kept us steady, and the promise that lies ahead. Paul reminds us that we are saved from wrath, not because of our own efforts or achievements, but because of what Christ has already done. The coming wrath is not meant for us.
We are not destined for it.
We are delivered from wrath by Christ’s blood and God’s grace,
called to belong to the day instead of the night.
We are sons of light,
not of darkness.
We are hidden with Christ in God,
secure in His life,
kept by His power,
sealed by His Spirit.
We have lifted our eyes
to the blessed hope,
the appearing of our great God and Savior.
We have heard the promise
that the trumpet will sound,
the dead will be raised incorruptible,
and we shall all be changed.
This is not wishful thinking.
This is not religious optimism.
The revealed mystery given to Paul for the Body of Christ gives us a hope that cannot fail and a future secure in Him. As we close, rest in what you’ve heard: You are forgiven, justified, reconciled, sealed, delivered, and you are His.
When the trumpet sounds, you will be changed in an instant and caught up forever with the Lord who loves you. Until that day, walk in His light and stand in His grace.
Rest in His love.
Hold fast to hope.
Christ has saved you from wrath.
Christ keeps you in grace.
Christ will bring you home.
Meditation:
The One who saved you from wrath
will keep you until glory.
Reflection Question:
Which truth from this series
most strengthens your confidence
in Christ’s finished work?
