Let us review: Every believer has a place, a purpose,
and a Spirit‑given role in the Body of Christ.

Good morning. Today’s Scripture verses are Romans 12:4–5:
“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.”

Paul teaches us as members of the Body of Christ
in this dispensation of grace,
that the Body is many parts,
but one Body.

We have different roles,
different burdens,
different strengths,
but one Spirit
holding all things together.

No believer should be on the sidelines.
No believer is to be considered spare equipment.
No believer is to be overlooked.

The Spirit places each one
with intention—
not by chance,
not by convenience,
but with precision.

Some stand in the open.
Some work in the background.
Some speak truth.
Some carry weight.
Some lift the fallen.
Some guard the flock.
Some bind up wounds.

But all belong.
All matter.
All are necessary
for the Body to move
as Christ commands.

Dear brothers and sisters,
Your place is not earned.
It is assigned.

Your purpose is Spiritgiven.
Your role is not small.
It is part of the mission.

Stand in it.
Walk in it.
Hold your ground in it.
Because the Body is never whole
without the part
God has given you to play.

The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Ro 12:4–5.

Meditation:
Let us thank the Holy Spirit for placing us with purpose and intent in the Body of Christ.
Relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit
Let us strengthen our resolve to serve faithfully where He has set us.
Amen.

Reflection Question:
How has the Holy Spirit gifted you? Where has God placed you, and what step of faithfulness is He calling you to take right where you stand?
