Good morning. Today’s Bible verse is Romans 12:2a: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”

Paul moves from the mercies of God that saved us to the transformation into the people of God in this age of grace. How do we live as new creatures in Christ?
He gives us a contrast:

Don’t be conformed.
Be transformed.

The world presses.
Grace renews.

The world shapes by pressure.
God shapes by truth.

Conformity happens quietly—through habits, voices, expectations, and the constant pull of a world that does not know Christ.
Transformation happens quietly too—through renewal, through truth, through the steady work of the Spirit in the inner man.

Paul is not calling us to try harder.
He is calling us to think differently.
To see differently.
To let the Word of God, rightly divided, reshape the way we understand everything.

Renewal is the Spirit’s work.
But it happens as we take in the truth given to Paul for this dispensation—
truth about who Christ is,
who we are in Him,
and what it means to live as members of His Body.

Transformation does not begin with behavior.
It begins with the mind—
- a mind anchored in grace,
- a mind shaped by truth,
- a mind renewed by the gospel of grace.

When the mind is renewed, the life follows.
When truth settles in, transformation begins.
This is the grace‑based path to spiritual growth in this dispensation.

The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Ro 12:2.

Meditation: Let us give thanks to our Father for the mercies He provides through the gospel of grace. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and teach us to live by mercy rather than through our own efforts. Let us walk today with minds open to renewal, trusting the Spirit to shape us through the truth of God’s grace.
May His lovingkindness soften our hearts, renew our minds, and lead us in the way we should walk today.
Amen.
