Good morning. Today’s Bible verse is John 7:7: “The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.”

Jesus spoke these words during His ministry, and this truth still applies to all who follow God's principles.

As Jesus spoke to His brothers and those around Him, He highlighted for every believer in every age: the world would not hate them because they belonged to it and participated in its wicked deeds, leading the world to love and embrace them. In contrast, Jesus spoke God's words, revealing the truth that the world was evil, the people of Israel were in rebellion against God, and all were lost in sin and transgressions. People do not want to hear God's truth or confront their sins because their conscience condemns them before a holy and just God.

Dear brothers and sisters, let us take note of this truth from Jesus' words, which is relevant to us. Those steeped in sin do not want to hear the truth. When those outside the Body of Believers attack you, remember they are not attacking you, but God, who has called you and sent you as ambassadors of the gospel of grace. When a brother or sister becomes upset with you for addressing their immaturity and disobedience, do not lose heart. Instead, intentionally choose to follow God and boldly share His message in this age of grace, regardless of opposition. Decide now to stand firm in your calling, take action to fulfill your mission, and let God's approval be your focus, not others' opinions.

Reflection: If you are embraced by the world or by wayward believers, consider whether your message reflects the uncompromising gospel of grace that Paul taught, or if it has been softened to avoid confrontation.
