Living by grace means resting in the truth that our old life died with Christ, our new life is Christ in us, and each day we walk by faith in the Spirit who makes His life real in our inner man.

Good morning. Our final Bible verse for this journey is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Grace is not a lesson we master.
Grace is the life God has given us in Christ.

As we come to the end of this 20‑day journey, I want to bring these truths before us once more—not simply to repeat them, but to rest in them. Because everything Paul teaches about living by grace comes down to this simple truth:

Christ, the Head of the Body, is our life.

Galatians 2:20 has been the unseen heartbeat of this entire series.

We have been crucified with Christ—the old man is rendered powerless.
It is no longer we who live—the new man is here.
Christ lives in us, His life expressed through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
And the life we now live in the flesh, we live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.

This is the life of grace.

We put off the old man because it no longer belongs to us.
We put on the new man because that is already who we are.
We let the word of Christ dwell in us because His truth renews the inward man.
We are strengthened by His Spirit because we cannot live this life in our own strength.
And we live each day by faith because Christ lives in us.

This is not a life of striving.
This is not a life of trying to be good enough.
This is not a life of guilt or fear or performance.

This is the life God freely gave us the moment we believed the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is not the life of law‑keeping, nor the life of faith as taught by Jesus of Nazareth in His earthly ministry.
It is the life of peace with God, freedom from the Law, and assurance of salvation without reservation.

The gospel of grace teaches that in Christ,
you are forgiven and justified,
sealed by the Holy Spirit,
united with Christ,
complete in Him,
accepted in the Beloved,
God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus,
and a member of the Body of Christ, called to live from the life He has already placed within you.

And all of this is the work of the Triune God:

the Father who chose you,
the Son who gave Himself for you,
and the Spirit who indwells you and will keep you until the day you are presented blameless before Him.

So, dear brothers and sisters, as this series comes to an end, remember this:

Grace is not something you visit.
Grace is the home you live in.

You do not walk alone,
or in your own strength,
or under the Law.
You walk in Christ,
and Christ lives in you.

This is the life Paul taught,
the life God gives,
the life of grace.

May you rest in it,
grow in it,
and walk in it.
And may the life of Christ be seen in you, day by day,
as you live by faith in the Son of God who loved you and gave Himself for you.

Meditation:
To live by grace is to rest in the truth that my old life died with Christ, my new life is Christ in me, and each day I walk by faith in the Spirit who makes His life real in my inner man.

Reflection Question:
Where do you need to stop striving and rest in the truth that Christ Himself is your life?
