A closing note on “While We Wait” for the Blessed Hope of the Rapture.

Good morning. Today’s Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:24:
“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”

We have lifted our eyes to the hope that steadies us,
and we have looked at the simple, faithful ways
we live out that hope in the everyday places
God has planted us.

We learned to live awake
as children of the day.

We learned to stay steady
in the love of God
and the patience of Christ.

We learned to walk quietly and faithfully,
loving one another
and honoring Christ
before a watching world.

These are not heavy commands.
They are the natural outflow
of the hope we hold
and the grace we stand in.

So as we wait for the trumpet,
as we look for the blessed hope,
as we walk through the days
God has entrusted to us —

may your heart remain awake,
your hands remain steady,
and your life reflect the quiet faithfulness
of those who belong to the day.

Christ is our hope.
Christ is our strength.
Christ is the Head of the Body,
and He will soon come for us.

And while we wait,
let us walk in the Spirit,
that we may honor and glorify
Him who loved us so.

The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), 1 Th 5:24.

Meditation:
The One who calls us is faithful, and He will sustain us while we wait.
